What does RGB stand for?
The term RGB represents the 3 colours that make up this colour space.
Red
Green
Blue

How do we get black?
If the RGB “key” is white, then how do you get the colour black in RGB?
As the combination of red, green, blue in RGB colourspace gives us white, the complete absence of those colours gives us black, within RGB colourspace

ColoursI created this image to show you how RGB works and what the three colours look like together.

The main purpose of the RGB color model is for the sensing, representation, and display of images in electronic systems, such as televisions and computers, though it has also been used in conventional photography
