Applications Of 3D

3D modelling is used by a huge range of different companies and different professions. The use of 3D modelling is forever expanding and becoming more common in today’s world as it makes buildings, cars or even surgery which is much easier to create without actually making any changes in real life, thus making it cheaper and more efficient aswell as stopping any mistakes beforehand.

An example would be the role of creating a car using 3D modelling.

It would start by someone drawing the design for the car(concept art), a 3D modeller would then build the car in say ‘3Ds Max’ to every little detail making it as accurate as possible which would then be checked and checked again to make sure it is perfect and ready for proto-typing. This process saves a lot of time, money, and stops any mistakes beforehand rather than in the early days where companies would have to build and build again each time they made a mistake, making things a lot more difficult and time consuming.

Up is a 2009 American computer-animated comedy-adventure film produced by Pixar, distributed by Walt Disney Pictures and presented in Disney Digital 3-D. The film premiered on May 29, 2009 in North America and opened the 2009 Cannes Film Festival, becoming the first animated and 3D film to do so.
